We have gathered the best keto dinners for you and your loved ones, so that you do not have to think long about what goes on the table in the evening.
Keto dinner, your perfect end to the day
Table of contents
For many people dinner is the cosiest meal of the day. Coming home, quiet, family, having time and switching off from the stress of the day.
For some, though, dinner also has to be on the table quickly. If you come home late from work, from sport or from other activities and you are ravenous, there is often not much time left to cook something elaborate.
How long before bedtime should you stop eating at all? And what is best? These questions have been debated at length for a long time. And as with every nutrition topic, opinions differ here too.
You can go by two rules, though:
- As a rule, eat every 5 to 6 hours during the day. At 7am, at noon and between 5 and 6pm, for example. Then your dinner automatically lands at a sensible time as well.
- Keep at least 3 hours between dinner and going to bed. That includes any snacks you have after dinner, which you should increasingly replace with 3 full meals during the day, and which you probably will not fancy at all after a while.
Foodpunk is a good place to find tasty recipe ideas for dinner as well. In general you can use most lunch recipes for dinner and the other way round.
This time we have grouped our keto dinner recipes a little differently from our breakfast and lunch recipes, hopefully in a way that suits you.
1. The lion tamer
The family pours in, everyone is hungry and everyone has their own taste. It can be hard to conjure up something that suits them all, and probably harder still if you are trying to eat ketogenically. So here are a few quick, family friendly keto dinners.
Probably the favourite dish of many children, here in a slightly altered form: the Foodpunk lasagne. Instead of lasagne sheets, courgettes are simply sliced lengthways and baked along.
2. The gourmet
Our recipes for gourmets could also be called “keto recipes for hobby cooks”, because they take a little more time than our recipes for lion tamers, for example.
Our grass fed tomahawk steak is wonderful in the evening. Perhaps with a salad or some grilled vegetables on the side. For this recipe you need a little MCT oil.
Our turkey is also one for those who can spare some patience in the evening. It rewards you with wonderful juiciness.
So take your time and enjoy the evening and your keto dinner.
3. The soup lover
Our last group of keto recipes is for those who would rather reach for a spoon than for knife and fork.
If you count yourself among the soup lovers, you will certainly enjoy our warming pho.
This soup is rich in vegetables and at the same time contains several that support the immune system, such as pepper and ginger.
And last but not least, another soup for globetrotters and lovers of Asian cooking, our Happy Carb Thai soup, which you can make as hot as you like.
We wish you a lot of fun cooking your keto dinner, and even more enjoyment eating it.
